ITV has rescheduled Coronation Street and Emmerdale for next week following the death of Prince Philip on Friday.
The broadcaster abandoned its entire planned schedule and switched to all-day breaking news after it was announced that the Duke of Edinburgh had passed away at the age of 99.
The episode of Emmerdale due for broadcast on Friday will now air in the soap's 7pm slot on Monday night, with the episode planned for Monday now airing on Tuesday at 7pm as part of an hour-long special that will also include the regular Tuesday episode.
Corrie's Friday hour-long special will be split into two half hours and air Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm, while the two Monday episodes will instead be broadcast as an hour-long special from 8pm on Tuesday in place of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
On Saturday ITV intends to broadcast further news coverage of Prince Philip's death between 9am and 2pm in place of James Martin's Saturday Morning and a new series of Ainsley's Food We Love.
Barring any major developments, the network plans to return to scheduled programming at 2pm with coverage of the Grand National, followed in the evening by a primetime schedule including Catchphrase, Game of Talents and Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow.
