Jurassic World: Dominion filming to resume in UK

Filming on the new Jurassic World movie will resume in the UK next month after being forced to halt due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Filming on the new movie Jurassic World: Dominion is to resume in the UK next month after a shutdown of almost four months due to coronavirus.

The final instalment of the World trilogy was four weeks into its 20-week shooting schedule when the UK entered lockdown in March.

According to Variety, producers have now come up with a plan that will enable filming to resume at Pinewood Studios on July 6.

Those measures will include spending around £4m on regular coronavirus tests and temperature checks for the cast and crew, as well as enhanced cleaning measures and bringing a private medical company on site to keep everyone safe.

Stars including Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will fly back to London in the next few days and undergo the two-week quarantine required by the UK government for new arrivals into the country.

Jurassic World: Dominion is due for release on June 11, 2021.
