Michael McIntyre's new BBC gameshow The Wheel got off to a strong start in the ratings on Saturday night, according to early figures.
The new format, which sees McIntrye spin celebrities around on a giant wheel and ask them trivia questions, averaged 5.5 million viewers and a 27.9% audience share between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.
The programme benefitted from a huge lead-in from Strictly Come Dancing, which averaged 10.5m (48.9%) from 7.15pm as the final seven celebrities took to the dancefloor.
On ITV at the same time, a non-live edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! drew 5.2 million (26.3%).
Elsewhere, Secrets of the Royal Art Collection pulled in 890,000 (4.9%) to Channel 5, while Channel 4's rerun of a documentary about the late Argentina legend Diego Maradona garnered 340,000 (2.8%).
