Mark Dolan, Isabel Webster exit GB News amid schedule changes
Mark Dolan and Isabel Webster both leave their roles at GB News as the broadcaster prepares to shake up its schedule in 2025.

Mark Dolan has been sacked as a presenter with GB News after more than three years with the channel.

Meanwhile Isabel Webster, co-host of the breakfast show with Eamonn Holmes, is said to have quit after talks over a new contract broke down over a request to increase her workload from three to five days a week.

Young presenter Ben Leo - seen as a rising star at the station - will replace Dolan in primetime on Saturday and Sunday evenings, while Ellie Costello will join Holmes on breakfast Monday to Wednesday, as well as alongside Stephen Dixon on Thursdays and Fridays.

In a video posted to YouTube, Dolan said: "Let me tell you that leaving GB News was not my choice. I was fired. It took minutes. But let me tell you, they did it nicely."

He continued: "I want to thank GB News' bold and visionary management and I want to thank my brilliant production team on Mark Dolan Tonight for the extraordinary amount of hard work that they put into every programme.

"Let me tell you I have made friends for life - cherished friendships. And that is a wonderful thing. Plus, it's my view that Britain needs GB News and I believe it will prevail."

Other changes including Andrew Doyle stepping down as host of Free Speech Nation as he starts a new writing partnership with Father Ted's Graham Linehan, although he will remain with the channel in a behind-the-scenes capacity. Josh Howie will become the new full-time host of Free Speech Nations on Sundays.

Former MP Jacob Rees-Mogg is having his hours cut in half, now only hosting his State of the Nation show on Mondays and Tuesdays, with Professor Matthew Goodwin hosting on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Miriam Cates has also been given a permanent role at the station and will present across various shows.
