Michael Hector completes Aberdeen loan move

Reading defender Michael Hector joins Aberdeen on a six-month loan deal.

Aberdeen have announced that they have signed Reading defender Michael Hector on a six-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old, who came through the Royals' youth ranks, is yet to make a first-team appearance for the club.

Dons manager Derek McInnes has said that he is pleased to take Hector north of the border.

"With the current defensive injury situation, I'm delighted to have been able to bring in Michael, who is a big strong lad who comes with a big pedigree," McInnes told Aberdeen's official website. "Michael's arrival concludes things as far as players coming in is concerned."

Hector had loan spells with Shrewsbury Town, Aldershot Town and Cheltenham Town last season.
