Kevin-Prince Boateng came off the bench to score a hat-trick and help AC Milan fight back from a three-goal deficit to claim all three points against Lecce this afternoon.
Hosting Lecce looked to have sealed the victory by half-time courtesy of goals from captain Guillermo Giacomazzi, Massimo Oddo (pen) and Carlos Grossmuller.
However, the introduction of Ghanaian international Boateng during the break turned the game on its head.
The 24-year-old had hauled the Red and Blacks level just after the hour mark with a trio of goals.
Having got themselves back into the match, the reigning champions went on to wrap up the victory with eight minutes remaining.
Antonio Cassano was the architect, crossing for centre-back Mario Yepes who headed in at the back post to complete the turnaround for Massimiliano Allegri's side.
