Arsenal paired with Borussia Dortmund in Champions League

Arsenal are handed a trip to Borussia Dortmund in the draw for the Champions League group stages.

Arsenal will play Borussia Dortmiund in the Champions League group stages for the second successive season.

The Gunners, who qualified for the main stages of the competition after beating Besiktas last night, will also meet Galatasaray and Anderlecht.

Manager Arsene Wenger would have hoped to avoid Dortmund after the two teams squared off twice last year, with each team registering a win apiece, but the Frenchman will expect his side to see off both Galatasaray and Anderlecht.

The first round of group fixtures will take place on September 16 and September 17.
