Arsene Wenger wary of Robert Lewandowski threat

Arsene Wenger admits that he is wary of the threat that Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski will pose when his side visit Arsenal.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has called for his defenders to be "shrewd" when his side go up against Robert Lewandowski's Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Poland international has already struck 22 goals for club and country this term, and ahead of the visit from the Bundesliga champions, Wenger admitted that he was wary of the threat posed by the Bayern striker.

Wenger told BT Sport: "The best way to combat Lewandowski is for us to have the ball.

"After that you have to be shrewd with him because in the box, he is outstanding."

Defeat for Arsenal this evening will see them stay rooted to the bottom of Group F on zero points, while Bayern will go to within three points of qualification with a win.
