Serge Gnabry hopes to impress in FA Cup

Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry says that he wants to use the FA Cup as a springboard to earn a regular first-team place.

Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry has stated that he wants to use this season's FA Cup as an opportunity to gain a regular spot in the first team.

The German has played in both of Arsenal's matches in the competition so far and received praise for his performance in the Gunners' win over Tottenham Hotspur in the third round.

Gnabry has said that he is keen to play in Saturday's match against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.

"I'm eager to get back in the team and I'm trying my best in training. I'm hoping to catch the manager's eye and hoping to get back in the starting XI," he told Arsenal's official website.

"The FA Cup is a great opportunity for young players. I really enjoy playing in the competition and I hope we make it to the final.

"We've got a chance but in a cup it's important to win every game that comes, no matter who you¹re drawn against, and it doesn't matter who is still in the cup because in the end you have to play the best teams."

Gnabry has made 12 appearances for Arsenal this season.
