Emmanuel Adebayor: 'Pressure is on Arsenal'

Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor claims that former club Arsenal are under more pressure for Saturday's North London derby.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor has claimed that there will be more pressure on former club Arsenal when they meet in Saturday's North London derby.

Spurs enter the encounter at the Emirates Stadium having had a marginally better start to the season than their neighbours.

"Arsenal are at home, so the pressure will be bigger," Adebayor told The Sun. "If we score the first goal, the home fans will jump on their back.

"When Arsenal do not play with any confidence they are terrible. But when they are playing with confidence they are very difficult."

Adebayor left the Gunners for Manchester City in 2009 for around £25m.
