Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud says that remains comfortable with making the decision to leave Arsenal during the January transfer window.

Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud has revealed that he has started to settle into life at Stamford Bridge.

During the January transfer window, Giroud made the switch from Arsenal to the Blues, but the French international has scored just once in his first seven outings for Antonio Conte's side.

However, Giroud has said that he "definitely" made the correct decision to move to Stamford Bridge and expects to continue to adapt during the remainder of the season.

The 31-year-old told reporters: "Definitely. I am settling in quite well. I am very pleased with my understanding with the boys. Obviously, not everything is perfect but I try to be that target man that the boss asks me to be.

"To be a link with the number 10s, it is not easy to sign in winter for a new club so I try to adapt myself as quickly as I can.

"I think there's always room for improvement but I am quite happy with what we are doing on the pitch. We have good team cohesion. I think if we play with the spirit, we can achieve got things at the end of the championship."

Giroud started for Chelsea against Barcelona in the Champions League in midweek, but could not get on the scoresheet as the Catalan giants prevailed by a 3-0 scoreline.
