Sunday's Premier League predictions including Aston Villa vs. Man United

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Aston Villa vs. Manchester United.

Aston Villa vs. Man Utd (Sunday, 2.00pm)

It is make-or-break time for Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, who is under enormous pressure to achieve a positive result in Sunday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa at Villa Park.

The Red Devils blew a two-goal advantage before salvaging a late point in a 3-3 Europa League draw with Porto on Thursday, not long after Unai Emery's side produced one of the biggest Champions League upsets so far by beating Bayern Munich.

We say: Aston Villa 2-1 Manchester United

As Villa played at home on Wednesday, and Man United played away on Thursday, Emery's men should no doubt boast the fresher set of legs on Sunday, and there is still a real lack of identity about a disjointed Man United.

The Red Devils may have had Villa's number in recent years, but Emery's side have our thumbs-up to continue their hot streak and march to the hard-fought win that might seal Ten Hag's fate.

Chelsea vs. Nott'm Forest (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Flying high under the wing of Enzo Maresca, Chelsea seek a sixth straight win in all competitions when they welcome Nottingham Forest to Stamford Bridge in Sunday's Premier League battle.

The Blues have won back-to-back games 4-2 against Brighton & Hove Albion and Gent over the past week, while their visitors were conquered 1-0 by Fulham in the top flight last weekend.

We say: Chelsea 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Forest have restricted their Premier League rivals to just 18 shots on target so far this season - only Manchester City can boast such a low tally - so Chelsea cannot expect to carve open the Tricky Trees with ease.

However, when there is a Palmer, there is a way, and a rejigged Blues team should still run into minimal difficulty as they make it six victories on the spin.

Brighton vs. Spurs (Sunday, 4.30pm)

Five for five since their North London derby defeat to Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur endeavour to extend their hot streak when they head to the Amex to face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Ange Postecoglou's side return to top-flight action after a hard-fought 2-1 Europa League win over Ferencvaros, while Fabian Hurzeler's men have had a week to mull over their 4-2 loss to Chelsea.

We say: Brighton & Hove Albion 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Both sides have scored in each of the last three fixtures between Brighton and Tottenham, and Sunday's affair should be no different, especially given the Seagulls' recent propensity for high-scoring contests.

No side in the top flight has had more shots on target than Spurs' 45 so far this season, though, and with a bunch of well-rested regulars back in the fold, Postecoglou's men have our vote to continue their wonderful winning sequence.
