Arsene Wenger admits that Thierry Henry could play in the Champions League against AC Milan.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said that Thierry Henry will still be available for selection when the club travel to Milan in the Champions League next month.

Henry secured his return to the Emirates Stadium on Friday and – after much speculation – is expected to go straight into the starting lineup against Leeds United on Monday night.

The Frenchman insists that the striker is not yet ready to play a full 90 minutes, but looks forward to having him for another two months.

"I'm pleased [to sign Henry]," he said. "It took a little while to get the paperwork done, but finally it is done.

"The deal is, at the start, six-and-a-half weeks. If he is needed a bit longer, if it is really needed, until the end of February. He can still be there for the Milan game [on February 15].

"At the moment 90 minutes is a bit long for him because he has not played for a long time. He is a bit behind physically. In one or two weeks he will be fine. He will be involved against Leeds."

Henry spent eight years in North London during his first stint at the club.
