Wojciech Szczesny eyes North London derby triumph

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny believes that a win against local rivals Tottenham this weekend will help to lift the spirits at the club.

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has claimed that a win over Tottenham Hotspur this weekend will help to lift the spirits at the club.

The North London rivals meet at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

"We just want to give the fans something to cheer about and make sure we get three points," Szczesny told the Gunners' official website.

"We know how important this game is. Not only for the three points but for the mood around the club."

Arsenal confirmed their place in the Champions League group stage on Tuesday night as a 2-0 win over Fenerbahce gave them a 5-0 aggregate victory in their playoff against the Turks.
