Arsenal defenders Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker receive praise from their goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has hailed the performances of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker in recent weeks.

The centre-back duo have featured on a regular basis as the Gunners have gone eight matches without defeat since they lost to rivals Tottenham Hotspur in March.

"I think they've been terrific. Not only defending very well but also creating goals for us at the other end like they did last week against Fulham," Szczesny told the club's official website.

"They're getting the credit they deserve because they work very hard and they're very honest lads. I'm very happy for them and it's much easier to play behind them when they are in that kind of form."

Arsenal have conceded just four goals during their ongoing unbeaten run.
