Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger not thinking about Chelsea's "difficult" run-in

Arsene Wenger insists that he is only focused on Arsenal's fixtures and not whether Premier League leaders Chelsea could slip up in their "difficult" run-in.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that he is only focused on his side's Premier League schedule and not the "difficult" run-in facing leaders Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho's side currently have a seven-point lead over second-placed Arsenal, who have played one game more.

In the Blues' final eight matches of the season, they will face Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool, but Wenger only intends to focus on his team's fixture list.

"Chelsea have a difficult schedule, but so do we," Wenger said in this morning's press conference. "All we can do is master our schedule. What we want is to go as high as we can until the end of the season. Give our best.

"We are in an important moment of the Premier League season. It's a period you show your quality by focusing on the next game.

"We had a difficult start, contrary to last season where we had a good start. We had many players out for four, five months after the World Cup. Since we have found our cohesion and we feel we have moved forward."

This Saturday, Arsenal will take on Burnley at Turf Moor.
