Jack Wilshere: 'I can get better'

Jack Wilshere says that he can only continue to get better for England after his man-of-the-match performance against Brazil at Wembley on Wednesday.

England midfielder Jack Wilshere has insisted that he can get even better after starring during his side's win over Brazil.

The Arsenal man put in a man-of-the-match display as the Three Lions picked up a 2-1 victory over the 2014 World Cup hosts, thanks to goals from Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard.

The 21-year-old also believes that playing alongside Steven Gerrard and Tom Cleverley provides the side with a good balance.

"I feel my form is getting better and better," Wilshere told Sky Sports News.

"I am never happy with where I am. I am always trying to improve. I work hard in training every day and I need to keep my performances up for my club and then hopefully I can get picked in the national team and I can do it there as well.

"Stevie talks to me the whole game. He's telling me left, right. He was playing in the holding role but you can't keep Stevie in the holding role. I think it is good for us that he can go and I can cover, and Cleverley can come in as well. We have got a good mix in there."

Wilshere now has seven caps for England.
