Jack Wilshere threatens to leave Arsenal if Arsene Wenger is forced out?

Jack Wilshere has reportedly claimed that he will consider leaving Arsenal in the future if manager Arsene Wenger is forced out of the club.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has reportedly threatened to walk away from the Gunners if manager Arsene Wenger is forced out of the club.

The Frenchman has come under criticism once again this summer for his lack of spending in the transfer window, despite stating today that he is "confident" of new signings arriving before the deadline on September 2.

Members of the Arsenal Supporters' Trust also called for the club to refrain from giving Wenger a new contract until transfers are brought into the Emirates, which hosted the Gunners' 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa last weekend.

"Arsene Wenger has been there for so many years and he's always delivered trophies," The Metro quotes Wilshere as saying.

"OK we've had a little dip in the last five or six years, but he's a great manager and people who question his ability are ridiculous. I want to win things with Arsenal and I want to be there in the future, but if the boss leaves then things could change."

Wenger has one year remaining on his current contract.
