Blackburn Rovers striker Yakubu believes that his side deserved to take all three points against Arsenal this afternoon.
The Nigerian international, who was making his Rovers debut, scored twice as Rovers recorded a 4-3 win over Arsene Wenger's men at Ewood Park.
Before the match Blackburn were bottom of the Premier League table, and the 28-year-old told Sky Sports News that he could sense the pressure during the game.
"There's always pressure when your bottom of the league but there was a great atmosphere today," said the centre-forward.
"As a team we stuck together and we deserved to win the match."
Yakubu joined Rovers on transfer deadline day from Everton.
