Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is reportedly keen to leave the club in the summer transfer window after losing his first-choice status at the Emirates Stadium to David Raya.

Aaron Ramsdale has reportedly decided that he wants to leave Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old joined the Gunners from then-Championship outfit Sheffield United for £30m plus add-ons during the summer of 2021, further back in the reign of Mikel Arteta.

Establishing himself as first-choice stopper at the Emirates Stadium, Ramsdale played all 38 of Arsenal's Premier League matches last term as they ran Manchester City close for the English crown.

Since making the switch from Bramall Lane at the beginning of the 2021-22 campaign, the Englishman has featured in 88 matches for the Gunners across all competitions.

According to Football Insider, Ramsdale has made his mind up surrounding his future in football past the conclusion of the current season.

The report claims that the England international wishes to leave the North London club in the summer transfer window, with his playing time being limited massively this season.

It is understood that Ramsdale believes that he is in a vital stage of his career, where he should be playing regular first-team football at a top level.

Multiple Premier League and European clubs are supposedly monitoring the keeper's situation closely, ready to submit formal bids in the upcoming window.

Since the arrival of David Raya on a loan-to-buy deal from fellow Londoners Brentford in the summer, Ramsdale has lost the title as Arsenal's first choice in between the sticks.

The four-time international has started just five Premier League matches this term as Arteta's side gun for the title, keeping two clean sheets.

Ramsdale last played for the Gunners during the FA Cup third-round visit of Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool - a game that the North Londoners lost 2-0.

The former Bournemouth stopper has not enjoyed any game time in the Premier League since the 1-0 victory at Raya's parent club Brentford on November 25.

Set to sit on the bench once again in the top flight, Ramsdale is unlikely to earn any minutes on the pitch when the Gunners travel to Chris Wilder's Sheffield United next Monday.
