Arsenal could move for Salomon Kalou

Arsenal could move for Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou when the transfer window opens in January.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could make a January move to secure Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou.

The 26-year-old forward has long been linked with a move to North London, with Wenger desperate to add some firepower to his ranks.

The Gunners have been heavily reliant on Robin Van Persie's goals this season but Wenger may be wary of signing a player who looks destined for African Nations Cup duty in the New Year.

The former Feyenoord man, who scored in Saturday's 3-0 win over Newcastle, has made just seven appearances so far this season and is currently not part of the immediate first-team picture at Stamford Bridge.
