Arsenal eyeing up Carlos Soler swoop?

Arsenal reportedly eye up a deal for Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler.

Arsenal are reportedly keen on a deal for Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler.

The 23-year-old has registered 11 goals in La Liga for the Spanish outfit since 2016 and has made 18 league appearances for Albert Celades's side this season.

According to Sky Sports News, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is a keen admirer of his Spanish counterpart, although a swoop for the midfielder could be hindered by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Soler's current deal at Valencia will expire in 2023, and the Spaniard reportedly has a €150m (£137.1m) release clause.

The midfielder has registered two goals in Spain's top flight during the 2019-20 campaign and netted Valencia's opener in their 2-2 draw with Chelsea in the Champions League group stage earlier this season.
