Arsenal and Everton are reportedly contemplating whether to launch a bid for Lille defender Gabriel during the summer transfer window.

Arsenal and Everton have reportedly identified Lille defender Gabriel as a potential summer signing.

The 22-year-old has established himself as a key man at the French club, who are currently attempting to achieve a place in the Champions League for the second successive season.

However, while Lille were allegedly able to turn away interest in the Brazilian's signature last month, it appears that they are already bracing themselves for bids later in 2020.

According to Foot Mercato, the Gunners and the Toffees are prepared to make big-money offers for Gabriel before the beginning of the next campaign.

While the centre-back has only just renewed his contract until 2023, it is suggested that Lille may be open to cashing in on the player.

Gabriel has made 25 appearances in all competitions this season, including six starts in the Champions League.
