Atletico Madrid consider a summer move for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka, according to a report.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly considering a summer move for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka.

The 26-year-old has made over 130 appearances for the Gunners since arriving from Borussia Monchengladbach ahead of the 2016-17 campaign.

Inter Milan have recently been credited with an interest in the Swiss international, although the midfielder has played down suggestions that he could move to Italy.

According to Mundo Deportivo, though, Atletico could swoop for Xhaka this summer as a replacement for Rodri, who is widely expected to leave the Wanda Metropolitano for Manchester City.

Xhaka - contracted to the Gunners until the summer of 2023 - scored four times and registered five assists in 40 appearances for Unai Emery's side last season.
