Saido Berahino 'ready' to sign new West Bromwich Albion contract

Saido Berahino is reportedly ready to commit his future to West Bromwich Albion and turn down moves to Arsenal and Chelsea.

Saido Berahino is reportedly on the verge of signing a new long-term contract at West Bromwich Albion.

The 20-year-old, who has enjoyed a breakout start to the season by scoring 12 goals for West Brom and England Under-21s, is ready to fend off potential moves to Arsenal and Chelsea by committing his future to the Baggies.

The forward's current wage of £850 per week is to be increased significantly, according to BBC Sport, after initial talks between the two parties reportedly stalled over the weekend.

Burundi-born Berahino, who scored the winner for West Brom as they memorably won at Manchester United earlier this season, previously played out on loan at Northampton, Brentford and Peterborough before bursting onto the Premier League scene this season.
