Bolton boss Owen Coyle hopes to keep on-loan Arsenal midfielder Ryo Myaichi at the club next season.

Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has revealed that he has spoken with Arsenal over the possibility of extending Ryo Miyaichi's loan deal to next season.

The 19-year-old Japanese midfielder moved to the Reebok Stadium for the latter half of last term as the Trotters failed to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

"We'd love to have him back - he's an exciting young player and that's what we want for next year," Coyle told the Bolton News.

"I've had a discussion with Arsenal already and it's only early days in the summer but we'll see how that pans out. Ryo certainly loved his time at the club. If we could get him back with us again, then that would be great."

Miyaichi signed a professional contract with the Gunners in January 2011 following a trial with the club.
