Liverpool are reportedly considering two Premier League stars as potential replacements for Mohamed Salah, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Liverpool have reportedly identified Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo and Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo as potential replacements for Mohamed Salah.

The Egypt international remains a key player for the Merseyside club, having scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 14 competitive matches this season.

However, there is some doubt as to whether Salah will still be at Anfield for the 2025-26 season due to his current contract situation.

The 32-year-old has entered the final 12 months of his contract and is yet to agree a new deal with the Premier League giants.

Salah is said to be open to agreeing fresh terms as long as he is given his desired contract length of three years.

However, Salah continues to be linked with a potential switch to the Saudi Pro League after being the subject of a £150m bid from Al-Ittihad in 2023.

As a result, Liverpool's recruitment team appear to be drawing up transfer plans in case Salah decides to leave Liverpool at the end of the season.

According to Sky Sports News, the Reds are considering Brentford's Mbeumo and Bournemouth's Semenyo as transfer targets.

The report claims that Liverpool have sent scouts to watch the two Premier League stars as they continue to assess their potential transfer options for 2025.

Liverpool are unlikely to have a free path to Mbeumo, with the Brentford forward said to be a target for Arsenal and Newcastle United.

Meanwhile, Semenyo is also attracting interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, which could lead to intense competition for his signature in 2025.

Why are Liverpool considering Mbeumo and Semenyo?

Mbeumo has been in impressive form for Brentford this season, having scored eight goals and provided six assists in his nine Premier League appearances.

The Cameroon international has demonstrated that he is capable of playing off the right flank and in a centre-forward role.

Meanwhile, Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes will be fully aware of Semenyo's talent after signing the winger during his time at Bournemouth.

Semenyo is regarded as key figure in Andoni Iraola's side, having started each of Bournemouth's nine Premier League games this season.

The Ghana international, who can play on either flank, has scored three goals and contributed one assist for the Cherries this term.
