Fiorentina have denied that they have made a bid for Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh.
The Moroccan forward has been heavily linked with a move to Fiorentina this summer after enduring a miserable season in North London.
Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has dismissed claims made by Arsene Wenger that the Italian club have made a formal offer for Chamakh.
Prade told SportItalia: "Have we made an offer for Chamakh? We have not made one because he earns three million euros per season."
Prade instead confirmed that La Viola are to sign Chamakh's Morocco strike partner Mounir El Hamdaoui from Ajax.
"We hope to complete El Hamdaoui's transfer tomorrow," Prade said. "He is a striker that our coach [Vincenzo Montella] likes a lot."
Chamakh struggled last season for the Gunners and is understood to be seeking a transfer.
