Arsenal forward Gevinho has insisted that the club must not sell Robin van Persie if they are to challenge honours.
The Dutchman, who has netted 17 times for the Gunners this season, has been linked with a move away from the club once his contract expires in 2013.
"I don't want the sale of Robin van Persie. Arsenal is a team that needs good footballers and leaders on the field," Gervinho told The Mirror.
"Robin is a player who pushes companions to work harder and give more effort during matches. He is a dream to play with.
"For me, when opponents see Robin on the other side, it is a huge psychological blow. I am always happy playing with him."
Arsenal travel to Swansea City in the Premier League on Sunday.
