Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood claims that no club has made an offer for Robin van Persie and that the Gunners are "not in the remotest bit interested in selling him".

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has defiantly rejected suggestions that the club are looking to sell Robin van Persie this summer.

The 28-year-old Netherlands forward has 12 months remaining on his current contract at the Emirates Stadium and, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly interested, it had been suggested that the Gunners would be willing to accept a £30m transfer fee for the player.

However, Hill-Wood, who plans to hold talks with Van Persie over the telephone this week according to the Daily Mail, has denied such a suggestion.

"As far as I am aware, nobody has made any offer for him and he is away so we are not in any dialogue at all," he said.

"We are not in the remotest bit interested in selling him."

Van Persie has scored 96 Premier League goals in 194 appearances during his seven seasons in England.
