Alexandre Lacazette wants Antoine Griezmann at Arsenal

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette reveals that he will attempt to convince Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann to move to the Gunners.

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette has revealed that he will attempt to convince Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann to move to the Gunners.

Griezmann was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United during the summer transfer window, but the attacker ultimately stayed in Madrid due to the Spanish club's transfer embargo, which would have prevented them from signing a replacement.

United are still said to be interested in signing the 26-year-old, but Lacazette, who is "very good friends" with Griezmann, has revealed that he will do everything he can to convince his fellow Frenchman to move to the Emirates Stadium.

"We are very good friends and have lots of fun. Our nicknames for each other are Griezzy and Lacaz," Lacazette told Match of the Day magazine.

"If Griezzy visits me in London, I'm going to ask him to sign for Arsenal! We have a good chemistry and don't need to talk to understand each other's movements on the pitch."

Lacazette and Griezmann have both been included in the France squad for their final 2018 World Cup qualification matches against Bulgaria and Belarus.
