Henrikh Mkhitaryan has reportedly told Arsenal that he wishes to sign for Roma on a permanent basis.
While the playmaker is currently on loan at Stadio Olimpico until the end of the season, it has recently been suggested that the Armenian may be kept at the Emirates Stadium for the next campaign.
However, according to Corriere dello Sport, the 31-year-old has indicated that he wishes to continue his spell in Italy's capital.
The report claims that Mkhitaryan has encouraged Arsenal to try to negotiate a deal with Roma, who may have to pay in the region of £9m.
Although his time at Roma has been hindered by injury, Mkhitaryan has still contributed six goals and three assists from just 13 outings in Serie A.
