Everton have reportedly identified Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup as a summer transfer target should they fail to land Jack Wilshere from Arsenal.
The Toffees are looking to strengthen in the middle of the park ahead of next season and are said to have prioritised a move for out-of-contract Gunners star Wilshere.
Back-up plans are already in place for Everton if the England international stays at the Emirates Stadium or moves on to another club, though, as Turkish-Football.com reports that Ozyakup is now on their radar.
Like Wilshere, Ozyakup will also be a free agent from June and is understood to have numerous potential suitors after helping Besiktas to back-to-back Super Lig titles.
The 25-year-old, capped 30 times by Turkey at senior level, spent time on Arsenal's books as a youngster before moving back to his homeland in 2012.
