Report: James Rodriguez to force Real Madrid move

Monaco forward James Rodriguez is reportedly intent on forcing a move to Real Madrid this summer.

James Rodriguez will reportedly force a move to Real Madrid this summer.

The Colombian has been strongly linked with a transfer from Monaco since the completion of the World Cup earlier this month.

The two clubs have not yet agreed a final price, but according to AS, Rodriguez has said that he will not play a single minute of Monaco's pre-season, with a view to pushing through the move.

It is understood that Madrid want to pay around £55m for the talented attacker, but Monaco are holding out for a fee in the region of £70m.

The 23-year-old scored six goals for Colombia at this summer's World Cup.
