Queens Park Rangers have tabled a bid for Aston Villa's James Collins, according to reports.
Hoops boss Neil Warnock, who is eager to bolster his back line this winter, is understood to have offered £3m for the Wales international in an attempt to lure him to Loftus Road.
The centre-back, who was understood to be in negotiations to extend his deal at Villa Park, has also attracted interest from former boss Martin O'Neill at the Stadium of Light.
QPR have also been linked with a move for out-of-favour defenders Alex and Nedum Onuoha, as well as Blackburn Rovers star Christopher Samba.
