Report: Atletico Madrid preparing Xherdan Shaqiri offer

A report claims that Atletico Madrid want to sign Bayern Munich attacker Xherdan Shaqiri.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly preparing a £15m move for Bayern Munich's want-away attacker Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Swiss international is widely regarded as one of the most talented wide players in European football, but his form at Bayern has suffered due to a lack of first-team football.

The former Basel midfielder is still just 22 years old and therefore is an attractive proposition for interested clubs, with Bayern said to be prepared to sanction a move in January.

According to reports in Spain, Atletico will make their move when the winter window opens, but could face competition from the Premier League.

Shaqiri has not yet scored for his German club this season.
