Report: Atletico Madrid want Jose Callejon

A report claims that Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone still wants to sign Napoli forward Jose Callejon.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is reportedly intent on signing Napoli forward Jose Callejon this summer.

The 27-year-old represented Real Madrid between 2011 and 2013, scoring 20 times for Los Blancos before making the move to Napoli last summer.

The Spaniard impressed during his first season in Italy, netting 20 times in 52 appearances.

According to AS, Simeone has been a long-term admirer of the versatile attacker and has informed the club's hierarchy of his desire to add Callejon to his squad.

It is understood that Napoli want £25m, but Atletico are not prepared to move past £15m.
