Lionel Messi: 'Luis Enrique relationship back on track'

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi insists that his relationship with head coach Luis Enrique is now strong.

Lionel Messi has insisted that his relationship with Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is now strong.

The relationship between the two was tested at the start of 2015 when Enrique left the Argentine out of their trip to Real Sociedad – a match that Barcelona lost 1-0.

A training-ground altercation is also believed to have taken place as their personalities clashed, but Messi has said that the relationship has now been patched up.

"I have said before that what happened happened but, since then, there haven't been any problems at all," Messi told reporters.

Barcelona will welcome Bayern Munich to Camp Nou for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday.
