Gerard Deulofeu: "The nerves got to me"

Sevilla's on-loan attacker Gerard Deulofeu takes to Twitter to comment on his disappointing performance in Sunday's 2-0 win over Rayo Vallecano.

Gerard Deulofeu has admitted that he was disappointed with his performance in Sevilla's 2-0 win over Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

The Spaniard joined Sevilla on loan from Barcelona last summer and had been expected to play a key role for Unai Emery's side this season. However, the 21-year-old has struggled to make his mark at the Estadio Ramon.

The attacker was given a run-out against Rayo, but he conceded possession on a number of occasions, in addition to missing an excellent opportunity to score, which brought whistles from the home supporters.

"Happy to be back playing! It's a shame I didn't play as well as I'd have like. Maybe the nerves got to me. We've got to keep working #SFC," he tweeted.

As it stands, Deulofeu will return to his parent club this summer.
