Everton have reportedly opened talks with Barcelona over a summer deal for Andre Gomes.
Gomes spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan with the Toffees, making 29 appearances for the Merseyside outfit during an impressive first season in English football.
Tottenham Hotspur had reportedly been interested in signing the midfielder this summer, although it is understood that the London club have now dropped their interest.
Everton manager Marco Silva recently said that he was hopeful of securing a permanent deal for the Portugal international ahead of the 2019-20 season.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Everton have now opened talks with Barca over a permanent deal for the 25-year-old, who could be available for £25m in this summer's transfer window.
Gomes, who did not make his Everton debut until October due to injury, has appeared on 78 occasions for Barca following a 2016 arrival from Valencia.
