Thiago Silva wants Paris Saint-Germain stay

Thiago Silva reveals that he wants to remain with Paris Saint-Germain despite reported interest from Barcelona.

Brazilian centre-back Thiago Silva has revealed that while he is flattered by reported interest from Barcelona, he wants to 'fulfil his contract' with Paris Saint-Germain.

The 29-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in European football, with Barcelona one of a number of clubs believed to be interested in his services.

However, the former AC Milan defender has pledged his long-term future to French champions PSG.

"I feel good and valued when [rumours of Barca] appear in the press. I'm glad my performances are being recognized," he told Marca.

"But I'm happy in Paris and I hope to fulfil my contract."

Silva moved to Paris from Milan in 2012.
