Former Barcelona and AC Milan midfielder Edgar Davids reportedly tells journalists that he will retire from the game.

Former Barcelona and AC Milan midfielder Edgar Davids has reportedly told journalists that he will retire from the game.

Davids has spoken out about how he feels he is being targeted by referees, having already incurred five sending-offs for his current side Barnet in 38 appearances for the club, according to the Daily Star.

Davids, who has also played for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and Inter Milan, took up the role as player-manager of the club in 2012.

Barnet currently sit in ninth position in the Skrill Premier.
