Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has praised Pep Guardiola and his players for a "magnificent achievement" after they clinched the Bundesliga title on Sunday.
Wolfsburg's loss to Borussia Monchengladbach handed a third successive title to the Bavarian club, and Rummenigge was quick to reveal his delight with the team's form following a summer which saw most of them play the World Cup.
"Retaining the title is a magnificent achievement. All credit to the coach and the team," he told reporters. "They've been fantastic throughout, in a season following a World Cup where we had a host of players in action.
"We'll have a magnificent party at some stage, no worries. But all in good time. When we do, it'll be a huge celebration."
Bayern will meet Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday before turning their attention to the Champions League last-four clash against Barcelona next month.
