Pep Guardiola has insisted that Mario Gotze has a role to play at Bayern Munich.
The German playmaker has recently been linked with a switch to Juventus in a deal that could see Arturo Vidal move in the opposite direction.
However, despite having revealed that he would like the 23-year-old to remain at the Allianz Arena, Guardiola admitted that he does not have the final say on transfers.
"Mario's got a contract here, he's my player and he's a great player too. In my mind, he is going to be a Bayern Munich player all season," the Spanish boss told reporters.
"He's a top player, but I know that it's not only the coach who decides here. It depends on the club."
Gotze joined Bayern from domestic rivals Borussia Dortmund in 2013 and he has gone on to make 92 appearances for the Bavarians.
