Real Betis have reportedly decided that they want to hand an improved contract to midfielder Fabian Ruiz Pena.
Los Verdiblancos have made a flying start to the new La Liga campaign, with Quique Setien's side already getting the better of Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
It has left the club in fifth place in the standings and according to Marca, every effort is being made to tie down the services of one of their most impressive performers.
The 21-year-old has only made three appearances this season, but Betis are allegedly excited by the potential of Fabian, who spent part of last season on loan at Elche in the Segunda Division.
Fabian's current deal expires in 2020 but Betis want to extend that, as well as add a buyout clause in the region of €30m (£26.44m).
