Lee Clark close to Birmingham City appointment?

Former Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark reportedly agrees to become Birmingham City's new manager.

Birmingham City are reportedly expected to name Lee Clark as the Championship club's new manager in due course.

The former Huddersfield Town boss has been a regular name linked with the vacancy and in the last week the 39-year-old emerged as the favourite to take the position.

Reports have claimed that Clark has verbally agreed to succeed Chris Hughton following a number of discussions with the former Premier League outfit, according to Sky Sports News.

Clark was sacked from Huddersfield in February after three years in charge, where he took the League One side to a play-off final defeat against Peterborough in the 2010-11 season.
