Birmingham City add Brian Howard until end of season

Former Barnsley and Reading midfielder Brian Howard signs a short-term contract with Birmingham City.

Birmingham City have signed former Barnsley and Reading midfielder Brian Howard until the end of the season.

The 30-year-old was a free agent after leaving Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia, whom he joined in the summer after being released by Bristol City.

He will wear the number 10 shirt left by Darren Ambrose, who moved on loan to Apollon Smyrni earlier today.

Howard could make his debut in the Championship match at home to Yeovil Town on Saturday.
