Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Elliott Ward from Bournemouth on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The 31-year-old defender becomes Blackburn's second signing of the day from the Premier League after they also brought in Danny Graham from Sunderland on loan until the end of the season.
Ward is now looking forward to his new challenge and once again playing under Paul Lambert, who also signed him during his spell in charge at Norwich City.
"It has been a busy few days to try and get it done, but I'm really pleased and I can't wait to get started training and crack on," Ward told the club's official website.
"I'm looking forward to putting on the shirt and hopefully being involved. Paul Lambert demands standards and he definitely brought mine up a few notches at Norwich and that's something I want to get back to on a regular basis."
Ward could make his debut for Rovers when they face Charlton Athletic at The Valley on Saturday.
