Nuno Gomes having Blackburn Rovers medical

Former Portugal international Nuno Gomes is reportedly undergoing a medical with Blackburn Rovers.

Nuno Gomes is reportedly undergoing a medical ahead of his free transfer to Blackburn Rovers.

The former Portugal international became a free agent earlier this summer following his release from Braga.

That news alerted Rovers manager Steve Kean, who is keen to bolster his striking options ahead of his side's Championship campaign, according to Sky Sports News.

Should the Gomes complete his move, he will become the third player to sign on at Ewood Park this summer after the arrivals of Danny Murphy and Leon Best.
