Newly-appointed Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Hughes has reportedly moved quickly to bid for Christopher Samba.
The Daily Mail reports that Hughes bid £7m for the Blackburn Rovers central defender after agreeing a deal at Loftus Road on Tuesday.
Rovers rejected a £5m bid from QPR last week when previous manager Neil Warnock was still in charge of the West London club.
Hughes brought Samba to England in 2007 from Hertha Berlin during his time in charge of Blackburn but he may face competition from Paris-Saint Germain and Tottenham Hotspur.
